Icy
For our second collaboration with Swiss-born and New York-based visual artist, Kelly Dabbah, we embraced Kelly's love for blending contradictions, changing proportions, and shaking conventions. Icy is a true aesthetic collision - both in theory and in practice. Using our perfected techniques, we have brought Kelly's whimsical yet charged images to life in a brand new context. A traditional twin shape, hand-crafted from high-density polyurethane foam with a basswood stringer, serves as the canvas for her poignant commentary. While Icy is fully functional on the wall and at sea, the piece takes on an even greater purpose. A portion of this piece's sales will directly support the Surfrider Foundation's mission to protect our oceans and beaches for generations to come.
